15th century Finlaggan, home to the Lords of the Isles, was a place of great political and cultural importance. It was eventually destroyed, leaving only indications of where its buildings and walls once stood.

My dissertation project was making the Finlaggan reconstruction created by Smart History into a more interactive experience by adding period NPC characters.

Various NPCs with basic movement animations as well as navigation behaviour were added. This includes patrolling and wandering behaviour. Each character was also given a Gaelic name that was used in the time period. The project was optimised for performance and evaluated in context of similar works.
